Role: Network Automation Lead Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement a global network automation architecture and development roadmap
• Transition fragmented, ad-hoc automation into a structured, scalable, and efficient program
• Maximize ROI through efficiency gains and quality improvements, while addressing legacy technical and data challenges
• Design and implement automation solutions using:
• Cisco SDN technologies (SDA/SD-WAN)
• ServiceNow, SolarWinds
• Python, Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps
• AI for network operations
• Establish coding standards, best practices, and security/compliance guidelines
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for automation workflows and infrastructure
• Define and maintain a data strategy (e.g., sources of truth, integrations)
• Manage automation backlog, work planning, and team execution
• Lead and mentor a growing team (starting with 2–4 engineers)
• Collaborate with Global Network Architecture, Operations, Security, and Cloud teams
• Troubleshoot complex network automation issues
• Keep up to date with emerging network automation and AI trends

Requirements

• Proven experience creating and implementing network automation roadmaps and architecture
• At least 5 years of experience designing and developing complex automation solutions in large-scale enterprises
• Hands-on expertise in Python, Terraform, and CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with Cisco SDA/SD-WAN, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, SolarWinds
• Interest or experience in applying AI to network automation
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and in team settings
• Experience working in Agile environments

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries
• Knowledge of enterprise-scale network architecture and operations
