Your Responsibilities:
Contributing to organizational strategy development and execution, by managing financial performance, driving the budgeting process, and implementing long-term financial and business plans.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Contribute to the strategy development of the organization - ensure the execution within the function.
· Drive the budgeting process, develop and implement strategic long-term financial and business plans, ensuring alignment across the organization, and prepare various high level management reports on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis.
· Lead the business in managing Financial performance, monitor business performance against set objectives and take corrective measures, as required.
· Engage proactively in external and commercial activities with the objective of driving growth, productivity and efficiency for the business.
· Oversee risk management, financial compliance and controls (Business Process Controls, Internal and External Audits) & the development, review and approval of comprehensive financial, purchasing and control processes and policies - ensure adherence thereof.
· Manage and integrate services delivered to the organization (define processes, agree and track Service Level Agreements).
· Conduct market studies and financial analyses and set stretch objectives based on external / competitor benchmark.
· Manage and develop the Finance teams within the region/ country and builds global talent pipeline.
· Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)
What you’ll bring to the role:
· Relevant degree (e.g.: Finance & Accounting or Business), Advanced degree preferred, MBA.
· Proficiency in English required – spoken & written, other languages is an asset.
· Demonstrated CFO experience gained in pharmaceutical industry.
· Significant experience working with as a finance business partner, across countries & cultures.
· Demonstrated experience leading a team.
· Experience with preparation of financial decks for Senior Leadership.
· Ability to deal with highly complex environment, reducing complexity into strategy decision recommendations.
· Excellent analytical skills linked with conceptual thinking capabilities.
