Job Title: API Specialist

Location: Mölndal, Sweden (25% remote)

Assignment Description:

Our client, is looking for a Technical Specialist in API Management to support the establishment of a strong foundation for future API strategy and lifecycle management. You will play a key role in designing API best practices, governance models, and reusable patterns across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of modern API management in a large, socially important organization.

You will work in a collaborative, technically advanced environment, with high autonomy and flexibility, within a self-organizing team.

Required Skills and Experience (must-have):

• In-depth knowledge of the OSI model (layers 4–7)
• Strong understanding of OAuth2
• Hands-on experience with API Management implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Technical experience with multiple API Gateways, including policy management, plugins, authentication, and monitoring
• Practical experience with Kubernetes (K8s)
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms in general
• Experience with reverse proxy solutions
• Experience with container platforms (e.g., Docker)
• Practical experience with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), including mTLS, TLS, and certificate management
• Experience working with OpenAPI specifications
• Practical experience with REST and SOAP services

Preferred Skills (nice-to-have):

• Experience with API design
• Knowledge of API lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with Lua scripting
