Key Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you will:
* Be responsible for one or more product-related matters and drive improvement efforts towards set goals.
* Work methodically and in a structured way, collaborating closely with other departments.
* Play a central role in delivering high-quality products to our customers.
* Perform root cause analysis.
* Generate concepts for possible design improvements using CATIA-V5.
* Create drawings and update product structures in our PLM system SmarTeam.
* Work primarily with plastic, rubber, and lightweight metal constructions.
* Gather data and requirements, and perform accurate analyses to improve and optimize products.
* Collaborate internationally with manufacturing units in Sweden, USA, Brazil, and China, with a few follow-up trips per year.
* Continuously strive to enhance the customer experience.
Required Skills & Experience
Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
* Experience:
* Working experience in mechanical design engineering.
* Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
* Proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written).
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Experience working in CATIA V5.
* In-depth knowledge of plastic materials and lightweight metals.
* Experience with simulations or calculations.
* Experience working in PLM systems such as SmarTeam or Teamcenter.
* Experience in designing molded components (especially plastic).
