Assignment Description

We are currently looking for a Category Manager to join a robotics production team in Västerås. In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier performance, supporting sourcing strategy, and collaborating globally to ensure a cost-effective and resilient supply chain.

This is a junior-level position ideal for someone with drive, structure, and a proactive mindset, eager to grow within category management and procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily management of the supplier base, including performance tracking (on-time delivery, quality, lead time, responsiveness).

• Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
• 
  
• Conduct commercial negotiations, manage pricing updates, supplier contracts, and documentation in ERP systems.
• 
  
• Contribute to cost optimization and risk mitigation efforts.
• 
  
• Handle sourcing activities related to new product introductions (NPI).
• 
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as R&D, Quality, and Purchasing, and coordinate globally (primarily with teams in China and the US).

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience in sourcing, supplier development, and negotiations.
