The TRATON Research & Development (R&D) organization is going through a major transformation with the target to become an even stronger Group by completing the establishment of a worldwide Group R&D organization. We will set ourselves up to be able to fully deliver the time-critical Group R&D roadmap and to fulfil the high expectations to deliver outstanding customer value and drive effectiveness. This enables us to secure competitiveness in our business, in other words win market positions and ensure Group R&D is a strong business partner for TRATON Group and the brands (Scania, MAN, INTERNATIONAL, Volkswagen Truck & Bus).

Role Summary

We are now looking for a new colleague within Dimensional Management, who wants to join the Group R&D journey.

Job Responsibilities

As an engineer with us, you will:

• Work closely with designers to develop geometrically robust design solutions.

• Perform Dimensional Variation Analysis for complex systems.

• Propose optimizations of designs and specifications for parts and assemblies.

• Engage in continuous dialogue with designers to guide them in design choices.

Who You Are

You are an engineer with an analytical mindset who understands the importance of connecting details to the bigger picture. You understand that correct geometrical product specifications are the key to creating great designs that can be manufactured anywhere with reliable and repeatable quality. You take initiative, structure your work effectively, and communicate your findings clearly. You see improvements as a natural part of your work and enjoy working cross-functionally to continuously enhance our methods, processes and standards.

We value curiosity, eagerness to learn, creativity, and responsibility over formal education.

However, you may have a shorter learning curve if you:

• Have a BSc or MSc in Engineering OR have gained practical experience from mechanical design, process planning, or similar positions close to the product.

• Have developed a strong understanding of geometrically robust design solutions through education or experience.

• Have experience in the software 3DCS and/or RD&T.

• Have experience in Catia and Enovia.

• Have knowledge of and experience with Scania products.
