Assignment Overview

Join one of the largest data transformation journeys as a Senior Data Engineer. You will work with modern data platforms and build data products within a Data Mesh architecture to support a global data-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and support data products aligned with the defined target vision.
• Take full ownership of data pipelines and infrastructure within GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Build secure, scalable, observable, and performant data products as independently deployable units.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to shape the roadmap for data products.
• Work cross-functionally with other teams to implement Data Mesh principles.
• Implement DevOps principles including CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems, reducing technical debt.
• Stay current with latest trends in cloud, data engineering, and analytics.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• At least 4+ years of hands-on experience with GCP or other modern cloud data platforms.
• Proficient in GCP tools such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Experience with Parquet, Avro, and other data formats.
• Strong SQL skills and programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Good knowledge of data modeling, both NoSQL and RDBMS.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows (CI/CD, Terraform).
• Comfortable with data visualization tools and communicating data-driven insights.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Advantage: Understanding of the retail industry and H&M business context.

Certification Requirement

• GCP certification is mandatory.
• If not already certified, the consultant must obtain the certification within 1 month of starting the assignment.
