About the role
This role is the perfect opportunity for the candidate who wants to work in a truly inspiring environment involving emerging technologies and solutions, with highly talented colleagues!
The successful candidate will deal with traditional as well as new legal and compliance topics, such as:
* Development of commercial contracts for new business models
* Fostering of collaboration with suppliers through strategic IP ownership and licenses
* Advising the technology organization on tech related topic such as IP, OSS and data management
* Advising on specialized projects and risk mitigation, including product and geographical expansion
* Train and support the colleagues on matters relating to collaboration with competitors – pragmatic advice, risk mitigation and partnership management
* Manage data, AI and security regulatory compliance and process development
* Stay abreast of the emerging autonomous solution regulatory environment
* Train and advise the organization on corporate compliance matters
You will be working closely with the business management teams and other functions across the organization. You will also actively contribute to the legal team of Volvo Autonomous Solutions, including driving initiatives such as the V.A.S. Legal & Compliance Work Plan.
Together with the successful candidate, the Volvo Autonomous Solutions legal & compliance team will consist of three colleagues.
Qualifications
You have a degree from an accredited law school with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department. You have a strong knowledge of contract law, compliance and risk management, with a proven ability to handle multiple complex matters simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
You can effectively collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Above all, you have sound business judgment, a problem-solving attitude, and the ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
