Alba health is a ground-breaking startup focused on children's gut health with the vision of preventing chronic diseases. We offer science-backed, personalized advice to parents to support their childrens health, starting with their gut health and microbiome.

We're looking for a mid to senior level developer here at Alba Health where you will be working with React Native using Expo, to build our current and future generation of apps. We’re looking for someone who feels comfortable taking ownership and has experience with building good looking React Native apps that are easy to use and with a large amount of customer focus.

On the backend we’re using Elixir with Phoenix, if you find functional programming fun or even have experience with Elixir that’s a plus. For this role we don’t expect you to do hands on coding in the back-end but we’d like to see interest in understanding how things are running and being able to handle simple system administration tasks after training.

What we'd like to see from you:

• 3-4+ years of software development experience
• Multiple years of experience working with React Native using Expo
• A good understanding of how and when to build in-house compared to using one of the many packaged you’d find on NPM.
• An understanding of what joining a startup means, both in what it requires from you, but also the benefits.
