Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to support our client in the banking industry.

Job Overview

• Specializing in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Contributing to cloud strategy across private, public, and hybrid environments.
• Supporting cloud transformation and uplift of existing applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud technology for Nordea’s infrastructure (private/public/hybrid).
• Support application migration and modernization to Azure cloud.
• Enhance cloud resilience and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities.
• Monitor key cloud metrics to identify improvement areas in performance and reliability.
• Automate detection, prevention, and response to cloud-related incidents.
• Collaborate with Nordea’s Cloud Centre of Excellence to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Analyse technical requirements focusing on cost optimization, scalability, and performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Azure or other large-scale cloud platforms.
• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform.
• Proficient in automation scripting using Python, JavaScript, or Go.
• Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and security integration.
• Expertise in configuration management and deployment tools.
• Solid understanding of network security, including firewalls, gateways, private networks, and segmentation.
• Skilled in integrating systems/services via REST and Open APIs.
• Awareness of cybersecurity and general IT security practices.
• Understanding of modern DevOps best practices: monitoring, logging, automation.
• Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
• Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
