ABB Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated RnD Software Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience in robotics. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that enhance our robotics solutions.

Your role and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for robotics applications.
• Implement and integrate ROS (Robot Operating System) in embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative robotic solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages: C, C++, Python. Experience with ROS and/or ROS in embedded systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in agile software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of robotics hardware and software integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
