At Telavox, we’re on a journey to build a modern, highly scalable data platform and we need to grow our Data Platform Team. We’re looking for a Data Engineer who’s excited to design, maintain, and evolve our core data infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be part of a team turning raw data into high-quality, trusted Data Products that empower our entire organization from BI developers to everyday data users. As a Data Engineer at Telavox, you'll work at the heart of building a modern data platform, building infrastructure as code, ingestion pipelines, transformation layers that make data accessible, reliable, and actionable. You'll be developing and maintaining a data platform that supports streaming and batch data needs, ensuring our business decisions are powered by quality insights. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers, data analysts, and platform teams to create robust data architectures, while taking ownership of the tools and systems that keep our platform running smoothly. From managing infrastructure in GCP to transforming data with dbt, you'll help define the future of data engineering at Telavox.

• Building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines using Debezium, batch, and API integrations

• Designing transformation processes using dbt in a medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers)

• Running and monitoring platform infrastructure in Kubernetes and GCP

• Creating clean, reusable Data Products that serve the needs of BI developers and data users across the organization

• Contributing to data platform development using tools like Terraform, Git, and Kotlin/Java

• Ensuring data quality, availability, and performance in a rapidly scaling environment

You’re a curious and pragmatic data engineer who thrives on turning complexity into clarity. You enjoy working across the stack from infrastructure to modeling and take pride in delivering reliable, maintainable data systems. You’re proactive, collaborative, and value ownership, always looking for ways to improve how data is delivered and consumed. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

• Experience working as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer with a strong data focus

• Solid knowledge of tools like Debezium, dbt, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Git

• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java

• Experience designing and delivering data pipelines and transformation processes

• Strong technical foundation, ideally with a Master’s degree in Engineering or similar

• Collaborative mindset with a sense of pride and ownership over what you build

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
