AVTECH is a company, with a creative work environment, developing digital services for aviation. We are currently expanding our product development team in our Stockholm office with a Frontend Developer with backend experience, to join us for a 4-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

AVTECH offers a hybrid work position (on-site and remotely on certain days) in a creative workplace with an extraordinary panorama view from the 23rd floor. Position Summary

AVTECH has a wide range of solutions tailored for airlines and pilots around the globe. We are industry leaders in flight hazards avoidance and flight trajectory optimization.

We are looking for an experienced frontend Developer to join our team on a project employment basis to drive forward the design and implementation of a new aircraft management and operations web application.

The position is on contract basis for 4 months to start with. Full time employment may be offered later.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain responsive, user-friendly interfaces using JavaScript, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, engineers, and backend developers to deliver seamless, integrated user experiences.
• Contribute to and maintain components built with Python and Django.
• Optimize performance and deployment using Gunicorn, Nginx, and AWS services.
• Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases to support application functionality.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in a cloud-based AWS environment.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, AJAX, and responsive design principles.
• Solid experience with Python and Django implementing static and dynamically updated pages.
• Knowledge of deployment practices using Gunicorn and Nginx.
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL ,CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team environment.
• English speaking and writing

Bonus Points

• Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or similar.
• Exposure to Docker or containerized development.
• Swedish speaking and writing skills
