About the Skövde plant With a proud heritage dating back to 1868, our Skövde plant is a high-tech production hub within the Horse Powertrain Group. The factory in use today was inaugurated in 1991 and has a total area of 140,000 square meters. Today, 1,600 employees work here and with passion and determination, we design, develop and produce advanced hybrid and electric components for a global market – always with a focus on quality, innovation and a lean manufacturing process.

Plant HR Manager Skövde Are you passionate about people, culture, and business impact? Are you ready to take the lead on HR at the plant level while ensuring a safe, high-performing, and engaging workplace? Join us in Skövde as our HR Plant Manager – a pivotal role where strategy meets people, and innovation meets care.

About the Role As Plant HR Manager, you will be a strategic business partner to the Plant Leadership Team while also leading operational HR topics with a hands-on mindset. You will lead a local HR team and act as a culture ambassador, driving engagement, leadership, and organizational effectiveness.

You will be responsible for ensuring a compliant, inclusive, and safe working environment—driving the health & safety agenda in collaboration with specialists, and ensuring adherence to Swedish labor law, collective agreements, and company policies. You will lead and support union negotiations, ensure proper handling of co-determination processes, and contribute to a positive and trust-based labor relations climate.

Collaboration & Influence You will work closely with local leadership, national HRBPs, unions, and our global HR colleagues to ensure alignment, compliance, and forward movement. While your main responsibility lies within the Swedish operations, a global mindset is essential. You are expected to prioritize local needs while being open to cross-border collaboration, sharing best practices, and contributing to global HR initiatives when needed.

This is more than just HR—it’s about leading change, building trust, and aligning people strategies with business goals in a complex and evolving manufacturing environment.

In this role, you report to HR Director Sweden.

Experiences and skills

  • University degree in HR or related field.
  • Solid experience in both strategic HR leadership and operational HR work.
  • Deep understanding of Swedish labor law, work environment legislation, and union collaboration.
  • Skilled in coaching leaders, managing employee relations, and driving cultural change.
  • Confident in data-driven decision-making and HR analytics.
  • A clear communicator with integrity, empathy, and the courage to challenge.

Experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner in a production or industrial environment is highly beneficial. Fluency in English and Swedish is a requirement.
