We have a 100% permanent position available as Lead Biomedical Laboratory Scientist - Quality, daytime shift. The daytime shift includes working on Saturdays and public holidays, with shifts distributed among biomedical laboratory scientists according to the rota. Medical Microbiology is part of the Department of Laboratory Medicine within the Clinic for Medical Services and Emergency Preparedness at Helse Fonna. Our department has implemented new advanced technology with a high degree of automation and digital solutions. We are continuously evolving. The Lead Biomedical Laboratory Scientist - Quality is part of the management team at Medical Microbiology and will play an independent role in assessing quality-related matters. This role also serves as the laboratory's representative in the department's interdisciplinary quality network. .We offer coverage of travel and relocation expenses (up to NOK 20,000). .We cover rent for the first 6 months (up to NOK 60,000). Responsibilities .Participate in the laboratory's routine operations .Contribute to a flexible and efficient workflow, and ensure that tasks are performed in accordance with current guidelines from consensus meetings, the requirements of ISO 15189, and the established quality policy and objectives .Act as a key resource and driving force in development and improvement initiatives .Responsible for ensuring that necessary procedures and training plans are in place within your area of expertise .Monitor and report on quality controls and quality indicators .In collaboration with the functional manager and chief physician, identify and implement measures for continuous improvement of laboratory operations .Provide advice and guidance, and support colleagues, the functional manager, and chief consultant in quality-related matters .Train and mentor students and new employees .Perform tasks related to the quality system, quality assurance, and development work What qualifications are important for this role? .Biomedical Laboratory Scientist with Norwegian authorization .Competence and experience in microbiology will be emphasized .Experience with accreditation processes and quality assurance will be highly valued .Knowledge and understanding of the ISO 15189 standard, or other comparable quality management standards .Familiarity with relevant medical-technical equipment and ICT systems is an advantage .Must have a precise and methodical working style, with a solid understanding of procedure management, and validation/verification of new methods and instruments .Strong communication skills in Norwegian, both oral and written .Personal qualities and a strong sense of responsibility will be given considerable weight What are we looking for in you?
