We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer with a strong background in Data Engineering to join our team in Stockholm. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of professional experience designing and developing robust, scalable, and high-performance data solutions in complex enterprise environments.

You will work closely with data architects, business stakeholders, and other engineers to build and maintain efficient data pipelines and solutions that drive business insights and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows and data integration solutions using Ab Initio.
2. Translate complex business and data requirements into technical specifications and data models.
3. Implement best practices for data architecture, data modeling, and ETL development.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability.
5. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and provide production support for data systems.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and operational problems.
7. Create and maintain technical documentation for data processes and flows.
8. Work in an Agile environment and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Key Requirements:

1. 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and ETL development.
2. 5+ years of extensive development experience specifically with Ab Initio (GDE, Express>IT, Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, etc.).
3. Strong experience in building complex ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and data processing solutions.
4. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server).
5. Solid understanding of data modeling (OLTP and OLAP) and performance optimization techniques.
6. Good experience working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
7. Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
9. Excellent communication skills to work with business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based data services.
2. Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage.
3. Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines is a plus.

Additional Information:

1. The position is based in Stockholm; hybrid work arrangements may be possible.
2. Candidates must already be located in Sweden with valid work authorization.
