Your future team As a Health & Safety Engineer at Axis you will be part of our HR Operations team, working closely with our HR Relations Specialist who handle our work environment inquiries today. We are a HR team working closely together with each other and the business and we are proud of our joyful, cooperative working environment. At the same time, we always take care to help each other out, discuss new ideas or have a chat over coffee. What you´ll do here as Health & Safety Engineer? You'll collaborate with our managers to create a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, guided by our Axis Cares philosophy. Your input will be invaluable in shaping and improving our health and safety processes and support documents. This is a new role, and you'll have the opportunity to develop it and take the lead on how the work should be performed. Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Designing procedures for safe chemical handling: Develop effective routines for managing chemicals in our labs and other environments and implement a chemical register system. * Enhancing Health & Safety processes and support documents: Create and implement new working methods to continuously raise our safety standards and ensure a healthy work environment. * Contributing to risk assessments: Participate in and support risk assessments to identify potential hazards and prevent work-related incidents. * Investigating work-related injuries and incidents: Analyze accidents and near misses to understand root causes and ensure preventive actions are taken. * Supporting managers in EHS matters: Collaborate closely with managers to secure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, including IR, chemicals, etc. Who are you? You should also possess a high level of drive and motivation, with a willingness to take initiative and ownership of your work. You're passionate about driving process improvements and thrive in environments where continuous development and innovation are encouraged. You share our vision of creating a smarter and safer world, and you believe in striking a balance between logic and empathy in your daily work. Experience of working with change management initiatives would be beneficial, as well as a coaching mindset to inspire and motivate others towards positive change. Additionally, we'd love to hear that you have: * Technical or science-based education focused on work environment (e.g., EHS engineering degree). * Equivalent experience in a related field. * Several years of working with health and safety issues, preferably within a technical or engineering environment. * Knowledge of chemical handling and risk assessments. * Implementing systems is a plus. * Knowledge and have worked with Electrical Safety is a plus.
