Role Summary

Are you ready to lead and innovate at the intersection of IT and production? Join Scania as a Solution Architect for Shared Powertrain IT team and drive our transformation journey!

In the next few years, we see exciting transformational projects driven by new business models and Industry 4.0. We shall also implement a new ERP system to modernize our system landscape and support the growing business demands. This will dramatically change how we conduct business and therefore we need a new awesome colleague to our team.

In this role you will be part of a team that will work close to the production units within Powertrain IT and will also support other IT teams in identifying new business needs and translate them into digital solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include:

· Work primarily within the Production domain towards specific production units and take responsibility to ensure that IT solutions are realized correctly and for the right lifespan.

· Create and maintain an architectural vision and technical roadmap for your domain in connection with the overall architecture for Production & Logistics including the IT infrastructural perspective.

· Understand the current architecture of our existing landscape and create a plan to reach the target architecture.

· Play a key role in facilitating the reuse of ideas, applications, components, and proven patterns within stakeholders but also across the enterprise by collaborating with other architects.

· Take a leading role in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and prepare and present the basis for architectural recommendations keeping the quality characteristics in mind.

· Work closely with the Lead Solution Architect and Business Architect in your domain along with other roles such as Software Architects, Project managers, Business Analysts, Line managers, Product owners, etc.

· Work together with the Scania IT Infrastructure department to communicate Production & Logistics needs and to secure the overall IT architecture for the Production units.

· Drive the overall architecture forward together with the rest of the architect team and the product teams within the department.

Who You Are

We are looking for you that have

· Worked in a strategic role in creating IT solutions for at least 5 years, with an extensive experience in architecting technical solutions in a complex IT landscape

· Experience in driving technical and organizational change of significant complexity as a part of a digital transformation journey in large organisations

· Modelling experience and can develop different views at different levels, from simple to complex depending on the need and audience

· Experienced in working in agile contexts where we aim to increase the speed in our deliveries through more breakdown of initiatives and more delegation of responsibility and mandate. Being knowledgeable in describing frameworks and following up with coaching.

· Great communication and presentation skills in English

If you are knowledgeable in Production & Logistic systems such as ERP, MES and SCADA with a know-how of ISA95 standard and impact of Industry 4.0 that is meritorious.

This Is Us

Today, we are approximately 70 employees distributed in 6 team where 5 of the teams are in Södertälje and 1 in Luleå. We are now searching for our new colleague who is curious to take on this challenging and exiting position as Solution Architect for the Shared Powertrain IT team focusing on specific production units.

The team responsible for IT deliveries within the Shared Powertrain IT team, have many ongoing and upcoming initiatives driven by new business models and Industry 4.0. We will also implement a new ERP system to modernize our system landscape and support the growing business demands. This requires a Solution Architect who has the ability and motivation to manage a complex IT delivery to take us towards target architecture. To secure the high load of IT demands, the IT delivery have both own IT development and managed service set ups.
