This position reports to R&D Department Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for heading development teams in Sweden, in PA Process Control Platform, ensuring that ABB Process Automation is able to serve its markets and customers with leading automation system solutions.

You will enable the teams to continuously innovate, execute effectively and grow.

Your responsibilities

• Full line management responsibility for embedded software development teams in Sweden
• Own and manage the collaboration of PCP Embedded Software R&D with other stakeholders internally and externally.
• Facilitate quarterly increment planning of work, ensuring proper prioritization
• Develop and grow the organization and its people
• Ensure continuous improvement and drive process development for software development

Qualifications for the role

• Five years of experience in technical management, working as R&D Team leader, Project Manager or Line Manager in R&D with embedded software development
• Sound knowledge of software design and the Process Automation market
• Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work with them
• Interest and experience in organizational and people development
• A master’s degree in software or electrical engineering or comparable
• Fluent knowledge of English, ability to communicate in Swedish
• Good to have: experience with real time operating systems, functional safety and cyber security
