Ericsson AB Join our Team About this opportunity: We will expand our RAN Energy Performance area with a Senior Specialist. We are looking for you that are eager lead the RAN Energy Performance technical area. Ericsson are increasingly challenged by higher expectations for more sustainable products from customers and society, including RAN SW functionality to reach low-energy solutions. The senior specialist will be working for a RAN Energy Performance design with RAN SW features cross domains. The target is to reduce the total energy consumption of RAN in the full range from low to high traffic capacity. RAN Energy Performance focus is needed to achieve a total RAN SW optimized energy performance solution that will give an impact on our customers energy consumption. In coming generations, Ericsson solution needs to offer steering mechanisms for smarter and quicker decisions on what RAN SW energy features to use and tweak. The aim is to have self-optimizing steering by intent and hyper-automation.  It is crucial to assure that functionality and hardware is only activated when needed, and effectively deactivated when not in use any longer. Furthermore, energy consumption needs to scale towards service slicing or service aware traffic control. What you will do: * Excellent knowledge in RAN Energy Performance area * Excellent knowledge in software architecture and systemization * Good communicator both in speech and writing * Good knowledge about driving strategy and know how to find new technology solutions * Like to work with others in team The skills you bring: * Several years of experience working with mobile systems and/or system designer * Experience in software architecture and systemization * High interest of sustainability and energy performance work * Good English communication skills both in speech and writing * Experience of leading technical studies * PhD or MSc level in computer engineering, electrical engineering, telecom or equivalent level of knowledge
