Technical Lead Role Overview:

The Technical Lead actively contributes to team outcomes by working hands-on within their area of expertise. They collaborate with team members to set technical direction and work closely with the product teams to develop and execute the technical roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-develop engineering principles, architectural strategies, and technical vision
• Foster a community of practice, sharing knowledge and best practices
• Demonstrate strong craftsmanship and a proactive, hands-on approach
• Lead SAP upgrade activities related to MTS
• Break down user stories and support tasks within products (Engineer support)
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and users to provide technical and business support
• Participate in SAP Architects forums to represent MTS’s technical roadmap
• Schedule and oversee deployments to production
• Contribute to transforming company vision, strategy, and goals into effective technical solutions
• Understand and promote technical principles and guardrails; coach others accordingly
• Grasp the scope and business context of the products
• Safeguard the long-term technical integrity of the area in partnership with product management
• Improve architectural patterns and best practices
• Facilitate rapid iteration, experimentation, Proof of Concepts, and Story Definition-of-Ready work
• Maintain an agile mindset, aiming to reduce technical dependencies across teams
• Potentially act as Product Owner for certain technical products

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior functional consultant, technical lead, or in architectural roles across diverse teams or contexts
• Proven experience in building and maintaining solutions
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and newer versions of Fiori apps
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 MTS process templates
• At least 5 years of leading teams of functional consultants and engineers
• Full-cycle implementation experience, including design, realization, training, validation, cutover, and support
