About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager to join our platform leadership team. This role is pivotal in driving short- and long-term improvements in performance, capability, and culture across multiple areas of our plant operations. As a key partner to the Plant Manager and respective teams in the plants you will lead the planning, execution, and governance of CI strategies while enabling our teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic CI Planning
    Support the Plant Manager, Operations Managers, and Area Managers in defining both short- and long-term CI targets aligned with overall business goals.
  • Action Plan Development & Execution
    Ensure each area develops effective action plans to meet CI targets. Provide guidance and challenge assumptions where needed to ensure high-impact, sustainable actions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Escalation
    Track execution of action plans, offering support and constructive challenge. Escalate critical deviations to the Plant Manager and Head of CI as appropriate.
  • Plant Performance Oversight
    Continuously monitor plant KPIs against CI targets. Identify performance gaps and work proactively to eliminate roadblocks, escalating persistent issues when necessary.
  • Kaizen & Methodology Deployment
    Lead Kaizen events, CI workshops, and training sessions to embed Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and thinking across the platform.
  • Team Collaboration & Culture
    Serve as an active member of the integrated platform management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement across all functions.
  • H&S and Quality Alignment
    Work closely with Health & Safety and Quality managers to align CI initiatives with safety and quality objectives, ensuring consistency and impact.
  • People Development
    Provide input and recommendations on training needs, coaching, or team adjustments to enhance CI competencies within the plants.

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Inspire, motivate, and influence teams at all levels to embrace a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Act as a change agent, leading by example in fostering accountability, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Coach and mentor managers and CI practitioners to strengthen leadership capability across the platform.
  • Promote transparent communication, constructive feedback, and cross-functional cooperation to drive aligned execution.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operational excellence, Lean, or CI roles within manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and CI tools (Green/Black Belt preferred).
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven experience facilitating change and delivering measurable improvements.
  • High analytical capability with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
