Role summary
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Test Rig Developer with focus on Software Programming to join our In-house EOL project team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a testing software interface to communicate between the test rig and the battery management system to perform low voltage and high voltage tests according to our quality assurance standards.
As a software developer in Scania, you are a vital part in providing premium products, services and solutions to Scanias customers, partners, employees and many more kinds of stakeholders. It is your responsibility to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, to develop software that is of high quality and performance, thus contributing to the holistic premium experience of Scania.
Job responsibilities
. Develop and implement software for test rigs used in battery component and system testing.
· Design and execute test cases.
· Integrate software and hardware components.
· Perform system integration and validation.
· Collaborate with electrical engineers, EOL engineers, and R&D developers.
· Provide training and guidance to your team colleagues.
· Document and report test results and findings.
· Develop a scalable concept for enhancing testing solutions and integrating them seamlessly into existing test rigs.
Who you are
Key Skillset:
· Strong programming knowledge with a solid understanding of electrical systems, including battery management systems, CAN and UDS protocols, and safety.
· Proficiency in test tools such as LabVIEW, CANalyzer, CANoe, ETAS INCA, etc.
· Knowledge of interfacing test tools with PLCs.
· Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
· Demonstrate creativity and solution-oriented thinking.
Educational Background:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
· Proven experience in software development, preferably in test rig or automation systems.
· Proven experience in industrial testing, preferably in battery systems.
Skills:
· Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Familiarity with testing equipment and data analysis tools.
· Excellent communication and experience working with cross-functional teams.
