Want to shape the future of customer engagement and growth? At Wolt, we’re looking for talented and driven Software Engineers (Kotlin) to join our growing Engagement group, which includes teams working on AdTech, Promotions, and Wolt+. You’ll work with Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS, and Kubernetes, with some Python in select areas, to build scalable, in-house solutions that enhance how users interact with Wolt. Our teams own their platforms end-to-end, ensuring we deliver seamless and high-impact experiences.

Our humble expectations

• Experience in Kotlin or other JVM-based languages (Java, Scala).
• Background in backend development, with a solid understanding of modern architectures and best practices.
• Experience breaking down projects into feature-level work, identifying dependencies, and providing estimates.
• A problem-solver who enjoys tackling technical challenges and continuously improving solutions.
• A team player who values collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and working with business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English language

You’ve built and shipped software—maybe a product, a service, or a tool used by real users. You’re comfortable working with microservices, API-driven architectures, and modern backend technologies. You take initiative, asking the right questions to ensure you're building the right solutions, and you care about clean, maintainable code that performs well in production.

You balance ownership and collaboration, knowing when to take charge of a project and when to work closely with your teammates. You bring ideas to the table and welcome feedback, always striving for the best technical and business outcomes. Whether you’re looking to deepen your expertise or expand your scope, you thrive in an environment where learning and impact go hand in hand. 🌍 Where You’ll Work

These roles can be based in Helsinki or Berlin. We operate in a remote-friendly environment to foster collaboration and innovation.
