Senior Security Engineer – Remote

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will play a key role in driving security architecture, threat modeling, and cloud security across our digital platforms.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will:

• Lead security architecture discussions with product and development teams
• Ensure our web and mobile applications are built on a secure and scalable foundation
• Secure our infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (both managed and unmanaged services)
• Perform threat modeling and identify vulnerabilities in complex environments
• Communicate the value of cybersecurity activities across the organization

Required Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

• 4–7 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity
• Strong understanding of the NIST security framework and controls
• Knowledge of tiered architecture for web and mobile applications (e.g., app servers, databases, firewalls, VNET/VPC)
• Experience with container security
• Familiarity with SAST/SCA tools (e.g., GitHub Advanced Security)
• Proven ability to secure Azure environments
• Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10 application security risks
• Hands-on experience with threat modeling and identifying security risks across interfaces and architectures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certification
• CISSP or CISM certification
• Experience working in complex, enterprise-level security environments
