Your role As a Line Manager, you will lead an engineering team of six professionals serving as Technical Leads. The team is relatively new, consisting of a mix of senior and junior project managers. Their primary responsibility is internal project management and providing technical leadership. Larger development projects are typically divided into several sub-projects (e.g., software, hardware, sub-systems), and the team is responsible for managing these sub-projects. The team members spend the majority of their time working on our projects you will play an important role in fostering a sense of belonging, ensuring the right skills are matched to tasks, and supporting the team's successful delivery. Your primary task will be: * Set up a structure for the group * Define the ways of working together with the Contracts & Projects department * Define the interface to our contract owners and line managers * Identify competence and resource gaps * Develop the competence of the staff and grow the group more by recruitments. Your second task will be to get the group efficient, improve the ways of working and continue develop the competence of the staff. Your profile We're looking for a leader who can inspire and support their team, fostering a positive and productive environment. You are motivated to provide clear direction and contribute to the group's long-term success, while remaining persistent and capable of energizing those around you. Your strong organizational skills enable you to create and implement effective plans, and you communicate effectively both within the team and with external partners. To succeed in this role, you have: * Project management experience * Prior leadership experience * Ability and experience of change management, both the group and organization are growing. A relevant engineering background is preferred but not required. We will therefore put great emphasis on your personal qualities and abilities to best complement the team. This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
