Our client in Västerås is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to take a leading role in developing a new module for their robot controllers.
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise, particularly with Xilinx MPSOC (Zynq and/or Ultrascale) devices.
In this impactful role, you will:
- Lead the design, modification, and analysis of firmware for equipment, systems, and installations, including the creation of detailed specifications for manufacturing and construction, tackling projects of medium to high complexity using established and innovative solutions.
- Act as the lead designer, ensuring the creation of customized designs with a strong emphasis on proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
- Drive and contribute to design reviews and verification processes, adhering to established QA/QC procedures, providing insightful feedback, and implementing necessary design adjustments.
- Optimize existing designs to align with evolving standards, integrating new products, components, and functionalities to enhance performance and capabilities.
- Create and meticulously review engineering drawings, specifications, and plans essential for efficient manufacturing, fabrication, or construction.
What you'll bring to the team:
- A strong engineering background with proven experience in electronics development, encompassing areas such as power, digital, analog, SoC Firmware, and related domains.
- Ideally, demonstrable experience in functional safety considerations for electronics modules and systems.
- A highly analytical and logical approach to problem-solving, with a proven ability to make sound and well-informed decisions.
- A positive, humble, self-motivated, and results-oriented attitude, coupled with exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills.
- A Master’s degree in Engineering within Electronics, Robotics, Dependable Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English, both in written and spoken communication, is essential.
Proficiency in Swedish is considered a valuable asset.
