Assignment Background

This assignment is intended to temporarily replace an employee who will be transitioning to other responsibilities. The position is primarily located at a production facility in the Gothenburg area, but occasional travel to another site in Kungälv will be required. Therefore, the consultant must reside within the Gothenburg–Kungälv region and be able to reach both sites within a maximum of 60 minutes.

The main focus of this role is to support infrastructure operations connected to factory environments and related Operational Technology (OT) systems. The consultant will handle infrastructure maintenance and actively participate in projects as a representative for hosting and networking.

Purpose and Objectives of the Assignment

• Manage server operations, including change management, vendor coordination, and system patching
• Proven experience working within the VMware suite
• Hands-on knowledge of storage systems, specifically NetApp
• Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions, particularly Veeam
• Handle infrastructure-related service requests, with an emphasis on hosting services
• Experience supporting production or industrial environments
• Contribute to lifecycle management and internal initiatives involving the hosting platform, including planning, designing, and implementing new services

Deliverables are to be defined and agreed upon on an ongoing basis between the parties.

Requirements

Language Skills:

• Fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English

Technical Expertise:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with storage and backup in infrastructure environments, including security practices and hosting operations
• At least 5 years of experience managing servers and applications, preferably within factory/OT environments, with a strong background in Microsoft technologies

Conditions and Work Setup

• If work responsibilities allow, remote work is permitted up to 2 days per week. However, during the initial month, full on-site presence will be required.
