Role Overview:

This position involves defining, refining, and managing software system requirements, ensuring they are effectively broken down for implementation. A major focus is on interpreting high-level system needs into precise, actionable development tasks for the software engineering teams. The specialist must demonstrate deep expertise in control systems, specifically in areas like Electric Drive Units (EDUs), inverter systems, Parklock functionality, and disconnect mechanisms. A strong foundation in both software engineering and electronics, particularly within the automotive sector, is required. Knowledge of ASPICE standards, test planning, and End of Line (EOL) processes is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture, structure, and detail software system requirements for automotive-based applications.
• Maintain strong traceability between system-level and software-specific requirements.
• Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, and verification teams to define technical requirements.
• Lead the preparation of software requirement specifications following ASPICE guidelines.
• Contribute to the development and support of End of Line (EOL) testing activities.
• Oversee the integration of software components within EDU, inverter, Parklock, and disconnect solutions.
• Author and review validation and verification plans to ensure software meets system expectations.
• Advise on system architecture and integration best practices.
• Collaborate closely with project leaders to ensure software components fulfill performance and quality benchmarks.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues found during testing or production phases.
• Facilitate technical discussions around system architecture and software realization.
• Engage in root cause analysis and problem-solving at the system level.
• Ensure thorough documentation across all requirement, test, and validation activities.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in the areas of requirements engineering and best practices.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software system development within the automotive industry.
• Strong technical background in software engineering and electronic systems.
• Hands-on development experience with inverter systems, Parklocks, and disconnect mechanisms.
• Skilled in managing the flow and breakdown of software system requirements.
• Deep understanding of ASPICE standards and their practical application.
• Practical experience with test strategy development, validation, and verification.
• Familiarity with End of Line (EOL) system processes and implementation.
