Category Requirement
Education / Certification
- Norwegian "Fagbrev" (Craft Certificate) as Automotive Mechanic (letthus /personbilmekaniker) or equivalent trade qualification recognised by the Norwegian authorities.
- Additional Ford or other brand specific diagnostic certifications are an advantage.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant workshop experience performing maintenance, repairs and advanced fault finding on passenger vehicles.
- Proven ability to interpret technical data and use modern diagnostic tools (e.g., Ford IDS/FDRS, OBD II scanners, oscilloscopes).
Technical Skills
- Competence in electrical and electronic systems, CAN bus diagnostics, hybrid/EV safety procedures and software updates.
- Able to follow manufacturer service bulletins and document work in DMS systems.
Language
- Good command of English or Scandinavian language (spoken and written).
Driving Licence
- Valid Category B (passenger car) driving licence.
Personal Attributes
- Structured and quality conscious.
- Customer oriented with good communication skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team, even under time pressure.
Other
- Willingness to attend Ford factory training courses in Norway or abroad.
- Eligibility to live and work in Norway.
