Assignment Opportunity – Kafka Specialist (Stockholm)

We’re currently seeking a seasoned Kafka expert to support an organization in optimizing their event streaming setup. This is a hands-on consulting engagement focused on enabling development teams to build and maintain a robust and scalable event-driven architecture.

The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will run for approximately 3 months. The role is based on-site in Stockholm.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide guidance and support to multiple development teams around Kafka configuration and usage
• Analyze, map out, and document the existing Kafka setup and architectural patterns
• Define and communicate clear standards and best practices for working with Kafka across the organization
• Help implement those practices in collaboration with development teams
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure a consistent and aligned approach to event streaming

• Apache Kafka
• Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Next.js

Your profile

You are an experienced technical consultant with strong practical knowledge of Kafka and a deep understanding of event-driven systems. You’re comfortable driving technical improvements across teams, can communicate clearly with both engineers and stakeholders, and enjoy enabling others through shared standards and scalable practices.

You work well in collaborative environments and are proactive in ensuring architectural consistency across diverse systems.

Location: Stockholm, Sweden (on-site presence required)

Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)

Start: Immediate / by agreement
