The Engineering Lead – Systems will be responsible for leading the systems design in the early stages of development. The job holder will be responsible for leading the definition and documentation of the systems concept of operations, the systems operational boundaries, the systems requirements and architecture. The role will involve providing technical guidance, resolving engineering issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with business managers, customers and development teams, analyze business, regulation and customer requirements, define Operational Design Domains (ODD), define the systems lifecycle, define Concept of Operations (ConOps) with related use cases, architectures, capabilities, features and system requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional for defining program capability roadmap with iterative progress in requirements, deliverables and maturity.
• Develop and implement systems engineering best practices and design guidelines.
• Establish and support systems engineering tools and documentation framework.
• Supply development and testing with detailed and quantified use cases.
• Conduct field trips to understand the domain and assess features.
• Provide technical guidance to development and test engineers.
• Conduct and document systems risk assessments.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in offshore engineering and identify opportunities for innovation and system improvements.

Supervision of Personnel:

None.

Internal Relations:

Frequent and close coordination with business managers, R&D, offshore teams and technical departments.

External Relations:

Liaison with suppliers and customers.

Required Competencies:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering development.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with systems engineering methodologies and tools.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in autonomous systems, subsea applications or marine industry is a plus.
