Position Description:
At Aftermarket Technology, we offer optimal solutions to support the aftermarket operations of Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, VECV, and, to some extent, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Bus, and Volvo Penta.
Leveraging our extensive technical, business, and customer expertise, we provide solutions and services tailored for sales personnel, mechanics, and parts staff at dealerships and various service locations. Our offerings include Spare Parts Assortment, Parts Information, Diagnostics and Repair Information, Service Planning, as well as supporting systems solutions and tools. In Aftermarket Technology, we aim to ensure that Volvo Group Truck vehicles can easily be maintained to guarantee uptime. We are working close to engineering functions as well as end customers and are located in Hagerstown, Greensboro, Lyon, Gothenburg, Curitiba and Bangalore.
The future of Vehicle diagnostics is about to take a giant leap forward. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in leading our journey towards becoming more data-driven, harnessing advancements in connected car technology and AI-driven diagnostics. Our aim is to secure customer loyalty and uptime through correct and early decision-making. We aim to predict our customers’ needs before they arise by using data insights, we optimize fault tracing and customer feedback resolutions.

What will you do?
As a Fault Tracing Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced fault tracing systems and processes. Your focus will be on ensuring that our diagnostic solutions are robust, efficient, and capable of predicting and resolving issues before they impact our customers. You will work closely with various departments to integrate fault tracing capabilities into our overall diagnostic strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and managing long-term roadmaps.
* Designing and implementing integrated fault tracing systems.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams for fault tracing integration.
* Utilizing data insights and AI for predictive diagnostics.
* Ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
* Leading fault tracing project development and execution.
* Providing technical guidance to team members.
* Continuously improving fault tracing methodologies and tools.
* Ensuring quality standards are met.
* Representing Volvo Group at internal and external events.
* Influencing technical committees on industry standards.
* Achieving recognition through patents, publications, and benchmarks.

Experience: Proven experience in designing and implementing fault tracing systems, preferably in the automotive or technology sectors.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of diagnostic systems, fault tracing methodologies, and data analysis techniques. Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in diagnostics is a plus.
Integration Expertise: Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate fault tracing capabilities into existing systems and processes.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
