Are you our new Project Manager to manage and lead projects related to our production units?

Valmet high quality spare parts and consumables help our customers optimizing their processes and performance. We manufacture and supply spare parts and consumables utilizing our own production units and also suppliers globally. We are committed to fulfill high customer expectations in terms of quality, on time and lead time of our products. This is a fixed term position (at least two years).

We are looking for experienced project leader to Performance Parts Global Production Units (GPU). Your main responsibility is to manage assigned projects related to our GPU’s. Sustainable HSE practices, high quality, cost efficiency and continuous improvement are prerequisites for all the project work. Your daily duties will consist of managing and leading the projects to successfully fulfill project expectations e.g., time- and cost-wise. You will work in close co-operation with Valmet internal organization and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of project.

This role includes a wide range of different responsibilities, you will

• manage and lead assigned projects
• execute the project steps according to agreed timeline
• implement projects according to budget
• involve key people in organization for successful change management
• communicate actively the project progress and relevant factors to Performance Parts Business Unit management
• organize required training according to project plan
• ensure HSE aspects are considered in all activities in project phase
• be guiding, motivating and developing in project work as well as promote new ways of working and continuous improvement of the processes utilizing Lean thinking

You will work in close co-operation with many stakeholders to ensure successful project phase implementation and continuous production delivery capability and excellent performance. Your preferred location is Karlstad.

Who is the professional we are looking for?

To be successful in this role you will have

• strong track record on successful project implementations
• excellent and proven leadership skills including experience in change management
• previous experience in a manufacturing environment, including active role in improving HSE, quality, productivity, and delivery performance
• the ability to achieve results in cooperation with multiple different stakeholders
• systematic and analytical way of working
• solid knowledge of quality and project management and continuous improvement as well as proven experience with quality tools and standards as well as Lean tools and practices
• at least 10 years of experience in leading projects
• bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related engineering field (example Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
• willingness to travel. Depending on the project phase, might require periods of 1-2 weeks abroad

In addition, you have motivation and ability to achieve results under pressure with strong sense of responsibility and independence. You have effective written and oral communication skills in English along with presentation and negotiation skills.
