Vacancy - Cleaner Official Accommodation, of the Ambassador of South Africa in Sweden. The South African Embassy is seeking to recruit a cleaner for the Official Accommodation of the Ambassador. This is a full-time position, subject to a probationary period and will start as soon as possible. Roles and Responsibilities The precise range of duties will vary over time but will include the following: . Perform tasks in the Official Accommodation of the Ambassador. . Maintain the Official Accommodation to a high standard of cleanliness including reception areas for official use . Assist the Housekeeper with the general upkeep and functioning of the Official Residence . Full range of cleaning tasks and laundry . Upkeep of soft furnishings in the Official Accommodation . Coordination and liaison with the Embassy . In the absence of the housekeeper, the cleaner must perform the duties . Any other duties as required. Essential Requirements candidates must be able to demonstrate: . 3 years' minimum experience working as cleaner and in housekeeping . Fluency in English . All applicants must have a legal right to reside and work in Sweden. . High degree of integrity and trust. . Strong organisational and management skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. . Reliable and can work on own initiative . Attention to detail Desirable Requirements . Experience working for an Embassy or international organisation as a cleaner. . At least 2 years' minimum experience working in hospitality Terms and conditions of employment: . The successful candidates will be hired on an initial fixed term contract for 2 years with possibility of extension in line with the duration of the Ambassador's tenure in Sweden . The work will be Monday to Friday, 37,5 hours per week . The annual starting salary will be from 215 225 SEK and increase per notch depending on the years of experience. . Additional benefits are a 13th month bonus, and holiday pay, occupational pension and social security contribution as required by the Swedish government. . Salaries are paid direct to a bank account; therefore, the successful candidate must have a Swedish bank account . The position will sometimes require out of hours work in the evenings /on weekends and this will be agreed upon in advance. . The position is for a locally recruited person and there is no entitlement to civil service status within the South African government service.
